1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Websites can also keep information in your browser's storage, which works in a similar way. In this policy, "cookies" covers both.
Some cookies are essential for the website to work. Others are optional and are only used with your consent.
2. How We Use Cookies
We use a small number of cookies to run the Platform. We do not use cookies for advertising or to track you across other websites.
When you first visit the Platform, a cookie banner asks which optional cookies you're happy for us to use. Until you choose, we only use essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time from "Cookie preferences" in the footer of any page. Our Privacy Policy explains how we use any personal data these cookies collect.
3. Essential Cookies
These are needed to sign you in, keep you signed in, take payments and keep the Platform secure. We use them whatever you choose, because the Platform can't work without them.

4. Functional Cookies (optional)
These remember choices you make, so you don't have to make them again. We only use them if you turn on "Functional" in the cookie banner. If you turn it off later, we delete them.

5. Analytics (optional)
These help us understand how the Platform is used and fix problems. We only use them if you turn on "Analytics" in the cookie banner. If you turn it off later, they stop straight away.

Separately from analytics, if the Platform hits an error we send Sentry an error report to help us fix it. It stores nothing on your device.
6. Marketing Cookies
We don't use any marketing cookies. If we start advertising, we'll list them here and ask for your consent before using them.
7. Other Services on Our Pages
Some pages show maps and address search from Google. Google sets no cookies on these pages, but receives your device's IP address when they load. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Messages and intro video calls use Stream, which stores nothing in your browser. Stream's privacy policy: getstream.io/legal/privacy.
Supabase and Stripe, which set the essential cookies above, publish their policies at supabase.com/privacy and stripe.com/gb/privacy.
8. Managing Your Cookies
You can change your choice at any time from "Cookie preferences" in the footer. We ask again every 365 days, and whenever we add a new type of optional cookie.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, signing in and paying may not work. For help with your browser, see its help pages or allaboutcookies.org.
9. Changes to This Policy
We update this policy when the cookies we use change. The version and date at the top show when it was last updated.
